Add Teach Them Jesus to your home screen
There’s nothing to download from an app store. It takes about ten seconds, and it’s free.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open teachthemjesus.com in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
On Android
- Open teachthemjesus.com in Chrome.
- Tap Install the app above, or tap the menu (three dots) and choose Add to Home screen or Install app.
Then open it from the Teach Them Jesus icon. It fills the whole screen, without the browser bar, just like an app. Sign in once with your membership, and you’re set.
Save a lesson for class
Open any lesson you can read in full and tap Save for class, just under the printables. The whole lesson is saved on your device: the Teacher Guide, all four age versions, the pictures and the activities. Later, it opens even with no internet at all, so a basement classroom, a campground or a weak church signal won’t stop you. Tap the button again to remove it.
Save it while you’re at home on Wi-Fi, the night before you teach. The PDFs still need internet to download, so print your handouts ahead of time.
Teach from Class mode
Tap Class mode on any lesson. The menus and extras disappear, the text gets bigger and the age tabs stay at the top so you can jump between the Teacher Guide and your group’s version. Use A+ and A− to set the text size, and your screen stays on while you teach. Tap Exit class mode when you’re done.
Questions about the app
Is there a Teach Them Jesus app in the App Store or Google Play?
Not yet. Instead, Teach Them Jesus installs straight from the website onto your home screen. It works the same way on iPhone, iPad and Android, it’s always up to date, and there’s nothing extra to buy.
Does the app cost anything?
No. Installing it is free, and our free lessons work in it for everyone. A membership opens every lesson in the library, on your phone or your computer, with the same sign-in.
Can I use lessons offline?
Yes. Tap Save for class on a lesson while you’re online, and it opens later with no internet. Saved lessons stay on that one device. Downloading PDFs still needs a connection.
Who can see the lessons I save?
Only someone using your device. Saved lessons are stored in your phone’s browser, not on our servers, and they’re cleared when you log out. If you share a tablet at church, log out when you’re done.
Does saving a lesson use one of my monthly downloads?
No. Saving a lesson to read in class is just like reading it online. Only PDF downloads count toward a monthly plan’s limit.
Which phones and tablets does it work on?
Any recent iPhone or iPad with Safari, and any Android phone or tablet with Chrome. It also works on computers in Chrome and Edge, where you can install it from the address bar.
