Genesis 1:1-2:3 · God made everything, and everything He made shows how great and good He is.
Genesis 3:1-24 · Sin broke God's good world, but God came looking for His people and promised a Rescuer.
Genesis 6:5-9:17 · God judged a world full of evil, but He made a way to be saved and kept His promise to Noah.
Genesis 11:1-9 · People tried to make themselves great without God, but God brought their tower down and began His own plan to bless every nation.
Genesis 12:1-9 · God called Abram to leave home and trust His promise, and Abram believed God.
Genesis 22:1-19 · God tested Abraham, then provided a substitute in Isaac's place, a picture of Jesus, the Lamb God provides for us.
Genesis 27:1-45 · Jacob lied and cheated, but God kept His promise to him anyway, because God's grace is bigger than our sin.
Genesis 37:1-36 · Joseph's brothers sold him and he was thrown in prison, but the LORD was with Joseph every step of the way.
Genesis 41:1-45:15 · God turned the evil Joseph's brothers did into good, and Joseph forgave them, a picture of how Jesus forgives us.
Exodus 2:1-3:15 · God saw His suffering people and came down to rescue them, and He called Moses to go, promising, "I will be with you."
Exodus 11:1-12:42 · God protected every home marked by the lamb's blood, and Jesus is our Passover Lamb whose death keeps us safe.
Exodus 14:1-31 · When Israel was trapped between Pharaoh's army and the sea, God made a path through the water and fought for His people.
Exodus 16:1-36 · When Israel grumbled in the desert, God rained down bread from heaven every morning, and Jesus is the true Bread from heaven who gives life forever.
Joshua 6:1-27 · God told Israel to march around Jericho for seven days, and when they trusted and obeyed, God made the walls fall down flat.
Judges 6:1-40 · God chose fearful Gideon and shrank his army to just 300 men, so everyone would know the victory came from God's strength, not theirs.
Ruth 1:1-22 · When Naomi lost everything, God showed His kindness through Ruth and Boaz, and Boaz became the family's redeemer, pointing to Jesus, our Redeemer.
1 Samuel 1:1-28 · Sad and longing for a child, Hannah poured out her heart to God in prayer, and God heard her and gave her Samuel.
1 Samuel 3:1-21 · When God's word was rare in Israel, God called the boy Samuel by name, and Samuel learned to say, "Speak, for Your servant is listening."
1 Samuel 16:1-13 · God sent Samuel to Bethlehem to anoint a new king, and instead of the tall older brothers, God chose David, the youngest shepherd, because the LORD looks at the heart.
1 Samuel 17:1-51 · God saves His people by His own power, through the champion He chooses.
1 Samuel 18:1-4 · Jonathan, the king's son, became David's loyal friend, gave up his own claim to the throne, and protected David from King Saul, pointing to Jesus, the Friend who laid down His life for us.
1 Kings 3:1-28 · When God told young King Solomon to ask for anything, Solomon asked for wisdom to lead God's people, and God gave him wisdom and much more.
1 Kings 18:1-2 · On Mount Carmel, Elijah challenged the prophets of Baal, and the LORD answered with fire from heaven, showing that He alone is the true God.
2 Kings 5:1-19 · Naaman, a proud army commander with a serious skin disease, was healed when he humbly obeyed God and washed seven times in the muddy Jordan River.
Jonah 1:1-17 · Jonah ran from God's call to Nineveh, but God chased him, rescued him with a big fish, and showed His great compassion to a whole city that turned from evil.
Daniel 6:1-28 · When a law made prayer to God a crime, Daniel kept praying as he always had, and God shut the lions' mouths and kept him safe.
Luke 1:26-38 · The angel Gabriel told Mary she would be the mother of Jesus, God's Son, and Mary trusted God's word, because nothing is impossible with God.
Luke 2:1-20 · In Bethlehem, God's Son was born as a baby and laid in a manger, and angels told shepherds the good news of great joy that a Savior was born.
Luke 2:41-52 · When Jesus was twelve, He stayed at the temple in Jerusalem listening and asking questions about God's Word, and He kept growing in wisdom.
Matthew 3:1-17 · Jesus came to John to be baptized in the Jordan River, and God the Father said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased," as the Spirit came down like a dove.
Matthew 4:1-11 · After forty days without food in the wilderness, Jesus was tempted by the devil, and He said no every time by trusting God's Word.
Luke 5:1-11 · After a night of catching nothing, Peter trusted Jesus' word and let down the nets, caught so many fish the nets began to break, and left everything to follow Jesus.
Mark 4:35-41 · When a terrible storm hit the disciples' boat, Jesus woke up and said, "Peace, be still!" and the wind and waves obeyed Him.
John 6:1-14 · When a huge, hungry crowd followed Jesus, a boy shared five small loaves and two fish, and Jesus gave thanks and fed everyone, with twelve baskets left over.
Luke 10:25-37 · When an expert in the law asked, "Who is my neighbor?", Jesus told a story about a Samaritan who stopped to care for a hurt stranger, and said, "Go and do likewise."
Luke 15:1-32 · Jesus told a story about a son who ran away and wasted everything, and a father who ran to welcome him home, showing how much God loves lost people.
Luke 19:1-10 · Zacchaeus, a cheating tax collector, climbed a tree to see Jesus. Jesus called him by name and came to his house, and Zacchaeus turned from his sin and made things right.
Luke 23:13-49 · Jesus was innocent, but He let Himself be put on a cross. He forgave the people who hurt Him and died in our place, because He loves us.
Luke 24:1-12 · On the third day, the women found Jesus' tomb empty. Angels said, "He is not here; He has risen!" Jesus is alive, and because He lives we have hope.
Acts 1:1-11 · Forty days after He rose, Jesus gave His friends a job, to tell the whole world about Him, and promised the Holy Spirit's power. Then He went up to heaven, and angels said He will come back.
Acts 2:1-47 · On Pentecost, Jesus sent the Holy Spirit like a rushing wind and tongues of fire. The disciples told about Jesus in many languages, Peter preached, and 3,000 people believed. The church was born with great joy.
Acts 3:1-4:31 · Peter and John healed a man who couldn't walk, in the name of Jesus. When leaders told them to stop talking about Jesus, they bravely said, "We cannot stop speaking about what we have seen and heard."
Acts 2:42-47 · The first Christians loved each other so much that they shared everything they had. They ate together, prayed together and made sure no one was in need. Barnabas even sold a field and gave the money to help.
Acts 6:8-8:4 · Stephen loved Jesus and told others about Him. When angry men hurt him, Stephen saw Jesus in heaven and prayed, "Lord, do not hold this sin against them," forgiving them just as Jesus forgave.
Acts 8:26-40 · God sent Philip to a desert road to meet an important man from Ethiopia who was reading the Bible. Philip told him the good news about Jesus, the man was baptized, and he went home full of joy.
Acts 9:1-22 · Saul was trying to hurt Jesus' followers. But on the road to Damascus, the risen Jesus stopped him with a bright light and spoke to him. Saul turned around, followed Jesus, and became one of His greatest messengers.
Acts 9:36-43 · Dorcas loved Jesus and was always doing kind things, like making clothes for widows. When she got sick and died, her friends sent for Peter. Peter prayed, and God brought Dorcas back to life, and many people believed in Jesus.
Acts 12:1-19 · King Herod put Peter in prison, chained between soldiers. The church prayed hard for him, and God sent an angel to lead Peter out. When Peter knocked at the door, the praying friends could hardly believe it!
Acts 16:16-34 · Paul and Silas were hurt and locked in jail for telling about Jesus. At midnight they prayed and sang to God. An earthquake opened the doors, and the jailer and his family believed in Jesus and were filled with joy.
Acts 27:1-44 · Paul was on a ship to Rome when a terrible storm raged for 14 days. Everyone lost hope, but God sent an angel to promise Paul that every person would live. Paul kept trusting God and encouraged everyone, and all 276 people made it safely to shore.
2 Timothy 1:5 · Timothy's grandmother Lois and mother Eunice taught him God's Word when he was little. He grew up to help Paul tell people about Jesus. In his last letter, Paul told Timothy to keep holding on to the Scriptures, because they come from God and point to Jesus.
Revelation 21:1-7 · God showed John a vision of the future. Jesus will make a new heaven and a new earth, with no more tears, sickness or death. God will live with His people forever, and they will see His face.
Daniel 1:1-21 · When Daniel and his friends were taken to Babylon, they were taught a whole new way of seeing the world. But they kept seeing everything God's way, and God made them wise. A worldview is the way you see everything, and God wants us to see His world through His eyes.
Genesis 1:1, 31 · The Bible is one true story from beginning to end. God made a good world, sin broke it, Jesus came to rescue us, and one day He will make all things new. Because we know how the story ends, we can trust God in every chapter of our lives.
