Peter trusted Jesus and let down his nets, and they filled with fish. Then Peter followed Jesus. I can trust and follow Jesus too.
Start here
Ask, "Have you ever tried really hard at something and it didn't work?" Let a few kids share. Say, "Today some fishermen worked all night and caught nothing. Then Jesus gave them a surprise!"
Bible story 6 min
A big crowd came to the lake to hear Jesus. Jesus got into Peter's boat. He taught the people from the boat.
Then Jesus said, "Peter, go out to the deep water. Put down your nets." Peter said, "Master, we fished all night. We caught nothing. But because You say so, I will do it." Peter had faith in Jesus.
Peter put down the nets. So many fish swam in! The nets began to break. Peter waved to his friends James and John to come help. They filled both boats so full that the boats began to sink!
The rest of the story, discussion questions, songs, Live It and prayer are for members.
