Seeing God's World · Lesson 1
What Is a Worldview?
Daniel 1:1-21; Romans 12:2 Old Testament PrincipleWisdom

When Daniel and his friends were taken to Babylon, they were taught a whole new way of seeing the world. But they kept seeing everything God's way, and God made them wise. A worldview is the way you see everything, and God wants us to see His world through His eyes.
God's Word is like the right glasses. When we see the world His way, He gives us wisdom to know what is true and how to live.
- CreationGod made it
- FallWe broke it
- RedemptionJesus fixes it (this lesson)
- RestorationJesus makes it new
Memory verse
“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
Romans 12:2 BSB
Christ Connection · Jesus’ plan
In Christ "are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge" (Colossians 2:3). Jesus is the Truth (John 14:6). Seeing the world God's way means seeing it through Jesus: who made it, what went wrong, how He rescues it, and how He will make it new.
Colossians 2:2-3; John 14:6; 2 Corinthians 10:5
The Big Story · Redemption
Since the Fall, the world has offered other ways of seeing everything. God's Word tells the true story, and through Jesus He renews our minds so we can see His world clearly.

Bible story 6 min
A strong king named Nebuchadnezzar took Daniel and his friends far from home. He took them to the big city of Babylon. They were still young!
The king wanted them to think like the people of Babylon. They had to learn a new language. They had to read new books. They even got new names.
But Daniel made up his mind. He would keep following God. He asked the guard, "Please give us vegetables and water for ten days. Then see how we look."
