Seeing God's World · Lesson 2
The Big Story
Genesis 1:1, 31; Genesis 3:1-24; Revelation 21:1-5; Romans 11:36 Old Testament PrincipleTrust

The Bible is one true story from beginning to end. God made a good world, sin broke it, Jesus came to rescue us, and one day He will make all things new. Because we know how the story ends, we can trust God in every chapter of our lives.
God is the Author of the true story of the whole world. We can trust Him in the hard middle parts, because He has already told us how it ends.

Christ Connection · The gospel
Jesus is the Hero of the whole story. All things were made through Him (Colossians 1:16). He died for our sins and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). He will make all things new (Revelation 21:5). After He rose, Jesus showed His friends that all the Scriptures were about Him (Luke 24:27).

Bible story 6 min
The Bible has lots of books. But it tells one big story. It is God's story. And it is true!
God made it. In the beginning, God made all things. He made light and land and seas. He made fish and birds and bugs. He made people to be His friends. God looked at it all. It was very good!
We broke it. A sly snake came. He said, "Did God really say that?" Adam and Eve did not trust God. They ate the fruit God said not to eat. Sin came in. Now there is hurt and sadness in the world.
The rest of the story, discussion questions, songs, Live It and prayer are for members.
