Hold up a packed bag. Ask, "If you were moving to a new place and could only take one bag, what would you pack?" Let a few kids answer. Then say, "Today we'll meet a man who moved far away, and God didn't even tell him where he was going!"

Bible story 6 min

After the tower of Babel, people lived all over the world. Most of them did not know God. But God had a plan to bless all of them. His plan started with one man named Abram.

One day God spoke to Abram. "Leave your home and go to a land I will show you," God said. "I will bless you. I will make your family into a great nation. And all the families on earth will be blessed through you."

Abram didn't know where the new land was. But he trusted God. So he packed up his tents. He took his wife Sarai, his nephew Lot, his helpers and all his animals. Then they set off.
