Some of the most important things kids need to learn aren’t one Bible story. They’re a whole way of life: love, joy, peace, patience and the rest of the fruit God’s Spirit grows in us. Each topic series teaches one of these themes through real Bible stories, and every lesson points to Jesus.

Every topic lesson is a full Teach Them Jesus lesson: a Teacher Guide with a 45-minute class plan, versions for Preschool, K–2nd, 3rd–4th and 5th–6th grade, printable activity sheets and a take-home page for families. Each one starts with a Bible story, then adds a short “Teach it” section that explains the idea in kid-sized words, with a true-to-life story of a kid who gets it wrong, owns it and receives grace.
Kids also hear what the world says next to what God says, answer one honest Mirror Check question about their own hearts, and take home a Way of Life habit to practice all week. Next week’s lesson starts by checking in on how it went. Topic series are included in every membership, along with the rest of the library.
Questions
What is the Fruit of the Spirit series?
Fruit of the Spirit is a series of nine Bible lessons for kids on Galatians 5:22-23: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Each lesson teaches one part of the fruit through a Bible story and shows kids that the fruit is grown by God’s Spirit as we stay close to Jesus, not made by trying harder.
What ages are the topic lessons for?
Preschool through 6th grade. Every lesson has four age versions (Preschool, K–2nd, 3rd–4th and 5th–6th) plus a Teacher Guide, so a whole church or family can learn the same topic together.
Can I use these for Sunday school, children’s church or homeschool?
Yes. Each lesson fits a 45-minute class and includes a hands-on section that rotates between science labs, building challenges, Bible-times digs and simple kitchen activities. Families can use the take-home page and weekly habit to keep the lesson going at home.
What topics are coming next?
The rest of the Fruit of the Spirit comes first, followed by series on the Armor of God, taking big feelings to God, choosing good friends online and off, following Jesus’ example, faith for hard times, showing Jesus’ love through kindness, and asking God for wisdom.
